VILLA LA ANGOSTURA

Location:

This small touristic village is located on Nahuel Huapi Lake, in the province of Neuquén. Because of its proximity to Mount Bayo, this town is visited every winter by thousands of ski lovers. The rest of the year, this destination is combined with Bariloche and San Martín de los Andes in the Seven Lakes Route.

Tourist Attractions:

Bosque de Arrayanes:
In Península de Quetrihué, next to Villa La Angostura, there is a place that is unique, a forest with Arrayanes. This very beautiful tree is the color of cinnamon, with irregular white spots, and is an unforgettable view of our Patagonia Argentina.
Mount Bayo:
This mountain has state of the art ski lift options and slopes for all levels of expertise. It is open from May through September.
Lake Traful:
This lake is famous for the observation point in the glacial, 334 feet high, from where a great view of the lake and the valley can be enjoyed.

Highlights:

Bosque de Arrayanes:
The park can be accessed by lake, using the catamaran service from Bariloche that includes a visit to Isla Victoria, or by land from Villa La Angostura. There is a 0.5 mile-long walking path going through the area open to public from that village.
