The beautiful landscapes
found in the Tierra del Fuego National Park, or the Valleys
all the way to Lake Fagnano and Lake Escondido are the main
attraction of this area. Going up the mountains at Paso Garibaldi
we can enjoy one of the best views, looking down to Lake Escondido
and, beyond that, to Lake Fagnano, the largest one on the
island. Other attractions are the Beagle Canal, with different
navigation options; Isla de los Lobos; numerous bird species;
the Lighthouse; the Penguin Reserve; and Harberton Ranch.
It is also the departing point for cruises travelling south
to Punta Arenas, such as Mare or Via Australis, or for those
going beyond that, to Antartica.
