SAN MARTIN DE LOS ANDES

This small touristic village is located on Lake Lacar in the province of Neuquen. Surrounded by Lanín National Park, it is one of the most beautiful cities in the lakes area, together with Bariloche and Villa La Angostura. Its architecture, mostly in wood and stone, gives hotels a warm and welcoming feeling.

Lanín Vulcano:
A few miles from the city we will pass through Junín de los Andes and arrive at the mouth of Lake Huechulafquen. About 18.6 miles ahead we will board a catamaran boat at Puerto Canoa to take a trip on the lake, from where we will see the volcano from diferente angles.
Villa Quila Quina:
This beach receives many visitors among locals and tourists. It is located on lake Lacar and, during the summer, it can be enjoyed until sunset.
Mount Chapelco :
This mountain, located a few miles from the city, offers different activities in all seasons: ski, snowboard, adventures like mountain bike and trekking.

Lanín Volcano:
This volcano is 12,380 feet high and located in the border between Argentina and Chile, inside Lanín National Park, surrounded by lakes Paimún and Huechulafquen to the South, and Tromen to the north.
Because it is much higher than the mountains around it, it is visible from places like Zapala and Piedra del Águila, almost 124 miles away to the east.
